FAQs
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
I’ve never done reformer Pilates. Can I still come?
1
Absolutely. You don’t need any prior experience to begin. Our instructors guide you clearly through every movement, and our Foundations classes are designed to help you build confidence from day one. You won’t be expected to “know what you’re doing.”
What should I wear?
2
Form-fitting athletic wear is best so we can properly guide your alignment. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. If you don’t have a pair, they’re available for purchase in the studio.
How early should I arrive?
3
For your first class, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early. This gives us time to introduce you to the reformer and answer any questions before class begins. For returning clients, please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before class so we can start promptly and keep the experience seamless for everyone.
I’m not flexible. Is that a problem?
4
Not at all. You don’t need flexibility to start — that’s something you build over time. Pilates focuses on strength, control, and stability just as much as mobility.
How often should I come?
5
For noticeable results, we recommend 2–4 classes per week. Consistency is key. Even once a week can be a powerful addition to your routine.
What if I’m recovering from an injury?
6
We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider first. Let your instructor know about any injuries before class so we can offer appropriate modifications.
Can I take a class if I’m pregnant?
7
If you’ve been consistently attending classes at Anchor & Core prior to becoming pregnant, you’re welcome to continue during your pregnancy with appropriate modifications. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before attending class. Once you reach four months (16 weeks) of pregnancy, a written note from your provider will be required in order to continue participating. Please let us know in advance so we can guide you safely and appropriately. Your comfort and safety are always our priority
Is there a place for my personal items?
8
Yes. We provide designated storage areas for your personal belongings during class. For safety and space reasons, we ask that phones, bags, and other items remain off the studio floor while you’re on the reformer.
What is your cancellation policy?
9
Classes must be canceled at least 8 hours in advance to avoid a late cancellation fee. This allows waitlisted clients the opportunity to attend.
Do you offer memberships?
10
Yes. We offer class packs and memberships designed to support consistent practice. Visit our Pricing page for full details
